I think the first night went well, mostly for getting to know my family and building trust with them. My biggest challenge is getting over the initial awkwardness of the materials and books seeming very elementary for adults. I also felt while it was a good all-english practice session for the Campos', they already had a firm grasp on family vocabulary in english. I will be curious to hear the feedback to do a better job next week.
Monday night went great! I too had to get over the awkwardness of the Sed de Saber tool (it turns out only I thought it was elementary, he actually enjoyed it). It took a bit of time to get my partner talking but as time went on soon enough he was leading the conversation! However once he rejoined with his family he pulled back again (but I'm sure his comfort level will rise with more practice). I'm looking forward to next week!
